both aspects. But some only do the repair

easy fix. Unless your garage door is very old or an extremely unique brand the technician
should be able to fix the problem during the first visit. If he cannot this may be an indication
that you either have a serious problem or that the technician may be poorly trained. If the
service problem begins to add up in the hundreds you may want to consider purchasing a
new unit. In most cases a new garage door opener is only a couple hundred dollars at the
most. And installation is usually around 50 dollars. If you are not mechanically inclined most
companies will give an estimate for free and visually show you what the problem is. Rest
assured that a garage door system is very simple so never feel intimidated.
